Summers can be tough when it comes to skin and makeup. Your face can turn oily and it can cause acne on your skin if not treated properly. The UV rays can cause your skin to tan and is a big reason for skin cancer. Not just that, you need to last your makeup all day in the summers and that can be a tedious task. Below are a few tips and tricks that you can follow in order to take care of your skin and makeup in the summers:
1.Use sunblock every single day before heading out. There are a few things that you should consider when you buy yourself a SPF or a sunblock. The SPF you use should be at least 30. SPF 30 filters out 97 percent of the UV rays and SPF 50 filters out 98 percent of the UV rays, protecting your skin in the best possible way.
2. Always use a moisturizer under your makeup. This depends on the type of your skin. If your skin type is oily, use an oil free moisturizer so that it doesn’t mess with the natural oils of your face or your skin. If you have dry skin, you can use a moisturizer which is for normal to dry skin. Mostly, go for the ones that are non-comedogenic (which don’t clog pores) if you want to avoid any sort of breakouts.
3. Use gel based or liquid based products instead of cream ones. The cream products tend to melt easily on the skin so they aren’t very suitable for application in the summers. The cream based products tend to feel greasy and oily on the skin and you might have to powder them a lot more than the liquid based products. Use liquid foundations and concealers for better stay of makeup within summers.
4. Use water proof cosmetics more than the other ones. However they can be a little harsh on the skin as they can be hard to remove and can even make the eyelashes brittle. So it is better to use makeup which is water-resistant rather than water-proof. Try and make sure that they don’t have silicone as a primary ingredient. If you do use water proof makeup, make sure that you use oil based or a very high quality cleanser after that.
5. Avoid wearing thick and creamy lipsticks. This is good for your skin in the summers. Try going for lip stains. Lipsticks tend to melt away in the summers if the consistency is too thick. They make the lips look no so fresh and plump. Try to use stains and you can re-touch whenever.
