Your hair is delicate and they need care under all circumstances and in all climates. When you wear caps and woollen hats in the winter days, all the sebum gets stored in the hair and the head. That needs to be taken care of in the summers. Not just that, the summer sun can heat your hair up and the UV rays can damage it badly. Unfortunately, you can’t use sunblock on the hair so there need to be other ways that we have thought of which will help protect your hair. Below are a few:
1. It is important to keep your hair protected from the summer sun but it’s also important that they are kept in an airy environment and sebum is not allowed to settle in. Use light scarves and keep your hair protected under them.
2. As clichéd as this may sound, the use of umbrellas is very important in the summer heat. It not only protects the skin overall but the hair too. If you want to keep your hair safe, carry umbrellas with you.
3. You can also use hair masks at home for extra protection while you are in the sun. When you use hair masks at home, it keeps your hair safe when you go out and gives it the shine they deserve.
4. Use heat protectant sprays before going out in the sun. It prevents it from damage and keeps it healthy and shining all day long.
5. If hats are too much, go with zinc oxide. If you’re not going to wear a hat, try putting on a sunblock which as zinc oxide and is made especially for the scalp of your head and the protection of your hair. Just apply the sunblock where the scalp is visible due to the thinning of the hair and other areas of the head also.
6. Put your hair up in loose, comfortable styles: A messy braid is ideal for keeping your hair under control and minimizing exposure to the sun. Tight hairstyles can be damaging because they tend to pull and tear hair, especially if your hair is dry from the summer heat. It not only makes you look trendy and stylish but it also protects your hair. Keeping them open can expose your hair to the damage from the sun. not only that, but other things can also ruin or mess up your hair.
